At the age of 40,my journey in the beauty industry is a story of resilience, faith, and unwavering passion. Born in Jersey City and raised in Newark, New Jersey, I made the move to South Florida 22 years ago. While my love for beauty was always there, life had other plans. After graduating from cosmetology school, I spent over 20 years in the corporate world, all while raising two incredible children, now 26 and 22.
Starting my business at 40 was a dream long deferred but never forgotten. With the guidance of “Rich Dad Poor Dad” and my faith in God, I finally took the leap. However, the road wasn’t smooth. I navigated the challenges of entrepreneurship while going through a divorce, all the while maintaining my business and being the best mother I could be. I am eternally grateful to God for giving me the strength and the “Eye for Glamour,” which inspired the name of my brand, “Eyez4Glam.”
Unlike many who enter the beauty industry straight out of school, my path was winding and full of lessons. I’ve learned to walk through every door that opens and to appreciate the moments when those doors close. As I approach my mid-40s, I find myself at the height of my beauty career, thankful for every twist and turn.
Owning salon studios in Coral Springs, Florida, has been a fulfillment of a lifelong dream. My one-stop-shop studios offer a wide range of services, including hair, nails, wig installs, Loctitian services, laser hair removal, and body waxing. But what truly sets my business apart is our commitment to mentorship, networking, and empowering other beauty professionals to grow their businesses.
Reflecting on my journey, I wouldn’t change a thing. The challenges, the successes, and even the setbacks have all shaped me into the business owner I am today. My goal is to help others navigate their own paths in the beauty industry, offering support, guidance, and a community of like-minded professionals.
